Purpose of this site
Veplat (https://www.veplat.com/) is an independent digital magazine. Everything we publish, including articles, guides, product roundups, photography, mood boards and recommendations, is offered for general information, inspiration and entertainment. It reflects our editorial point of view at the time of writing and isn’t tailored to your home, budget or circumstances.
By using this website, you confirm that you’ve read this Disclaimer and agree to it. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
Not professional advice
Nothing on Veplat is professional advice. Our content doesn’t replace the guidance of a licensed interior designer, architect, contractor, electrician, attorney, real estate professional, financial advisor, physician or mental health provider, and reading it doesn’t create a professional-client relationship.
If a project involves safety, such as wiring and lighting, mounting heavy mirrors or furniture, ventilation, or fire and child safety, hire a qualified professional and follow local building codes and the manufacturer’s instructions. You are responsible for the decisions you make in your own space.
For renters
Veplat is written with renters in mind, but “renter-friendly” never means risk-free. Adhesive hooks, removable wallpaper, peel-and-stick tile, paint, plug-in lighting and furniture anchoring can all mark surfaces or conflict with the terms of your lease.
Before you change anything
- Read the alterations clause in your lease and check your local tenant laws.
- Get your landlord’s or property manager’s approval in writing.
- Photograph the space before you begin and keep your receipts.
Veplat isn’t responsible for lost security deposits, fees, fines, damage, disputes or any other consequence of changes made to a rental home based on our content.
Feng Shui and wellbeing
Feng Shui is a centuries-old Chinese philosophical and cultural tradition concerned with harmony between people and their surroundings. At Veplat we explore it as a design lens, a way to arrange a home so it feels calmer and more intentional. We don’t present it as a science. Schools and practitioners interpret its principles differently, and we share the ideas we find most useful for modern rental living.
We don’t claim, and you shouldn’t expect, that any practice will produce specific results in health, wealth, relationships, career, sleep or luck. Content about Feng Shui, color, energy or wellbeing is not medical, psychological or financial advice. If you have a health concern, please speak with a qualified professional.
Affiliates and sponsorships
Some links on Veplat are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. That income helps fund the independent work of this magazine.
Compensation doesn’t determine what we recommend. We feature products and services we find well made and relevant to our readers. We may also receive complimentary products, collaborate with brands or publish sponsored content. When we do, we aim to disclose it clearly, in line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255). Our opinions remain our own, and a gift or sponsorship never guarantees a positive review.
Products, prices and images
We work to keep product details, prices, dimensions and availability accurate, but they change often and without notice, and retailers may list different information than we do. Before you buy, confirm the current price, specifications, materials, return policy and installation requirements with the retailer or manufacturer.
Images on Veplat, including mood boards, styled scenes and illustrative or AI-generated visuals, are meant to inspire. They may not show actual products, rooms or results, and real items can differ in color, scale, finish and availability. Our content may contain errors or become outdated, and we may correct or update it at any time without notice.
Links and brands
Veplat may link to third-party websites, retailers, services and resources. We don’t own or control them and aren’t responsible for their content, policies or practices. A link isn’t an endorsement, and you visit those sites at your own discretion.
Brand names, logos and trademarks mentioned on Veplat belong to their respective owners. Their appearance here doesn’t imply affiliation with or endorsement by those owners unless we say so.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Veplat, its owner, editors and contributors aren’t liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages or losses, including property damage, personal injury, lost deposits or lost income, arising from your use of or reliance on this website or its content. You use Veplat, and act on what you read here, at your own risk.
Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes or limits any liability that can’t be excluded or limited under applicable law.
Changes to this disclaimer
We may update this Disclaimer from time to time as Veplat grows and as laws or platform requirements change. The “last updated” date at the top of this page shows the most recent revision. By continuing to use the site after changes are posted, you accept the updated Disclaimer.
